|I have an interest in Maine cemeteries and genealogy. I often walk through cemeteries up the coast in Maine and try to take photos of tombstones that are falling and breaking as it is sad to see. I am willing to share those photos as some descendants may never get a chance to see the actual tombstone. I take many photos of the same tombstone to include closeups and of course am reluctant to get rid of them. If I have taken the photo and you want copies of any other related to the monument and/or tombstone for your personal use just leave me a message so that I can email them to you.|
Any photos that I have uploaded may be copied for your personal use only. None of the photos may be placed on another website, sold or bartered or used for commercial purposes.
If you want to use the photos for your personal use genealogy tree please feel free to do so but do not load them on Ancestry.com as the tos there states that they can then do what they wish with the photo.
Almost all of the memorials I have entered are a result of "mowing rows" in larger cemeteries and photographing the whole smaller cemeteries.
I am way behind in posting the photos. If you want photos of a memorial I created you can use the request a photo option or you can leave me a message with the memorial names and numbers.

Thank you so much for the picture of her headstone.
|Andrea||Where is the location of the Wakefield, Cleaves, Parker family cemetery?|
We will be visiting Steuben, ME, in June (we live out of state) and we are planning to visit the Wakefield, Cleaves, Parker family cemetery because my husband is a descendant of Melvin P. Cleaves and George G. Cleaves & Emeline Wakefield (who are his great grandparents). I have been unable to find a location anywhere. Any information you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thank you Andrea Lajoie

Hi Evelyn was my step aunt. Married to David.T.Moran. My dad's first wife was one of uncle dave's sisters. Norah Moran Ferris.I cannot seem to find Dave's resting place. I know he passed in Peoria Ill. in June of 1958. I know He and Evelyn lived in Dorchester Mass. in the 1950s. I would assume he is buried somewhere near aunt evelyn. But don't know. Dave's sister Norah and her 2 kids,Sumner james Ferris and Lorna Agnes Ferris are buried in Braintree ,mass. Listed on this site. Be interested in hearing from you. Sumner ferris. Would you be interested in changing the management of her grave? She is a direct member of my family and I'd like to put her on my find a grave page.
Thank you for posting and taking a photo of her grave. She has been the missing "daughter" until you found her.

|MJ Irvine||Peter Wright #128582400|
Would it be possible for you to correct the inscription you transcribed - Peter Wright was 49 yrs old at death, not 19.
I realize the date is hard to read but his his date of death is November 11, 1856.
Actor Will B. Able [memorial #154441269] was born Willard S. Achorn. Possibly he is Willard S. Achorn Jr, but his parents were Willard S. Achorn and Rebecca S. Achorn. Achorn Sr's first wife was Ella Mabel Achorn.

Thank you for entering the memorials for people buried at Highland Cemetery in Norwood, Massachusetts. Would you do me the great favor of checking your original notes for Memorial #134902901, E. MARIA BATEMAN, to verify her date of death as 1891? I have other documents (Census records, city directories) that seem to indicate that she was alive as late as 1924. She was born in 1860 in Dedham, Massachusetts and married FRANK W. BATEMAN in 1883. I appreciate your help and your continued work in documenting burials in Massachusetts and Maine!
