I guess I'm semi-1st generation Australian, my father emigrated from Lisburn, Nth Ireland before WW2. My mother's ancestors are from Cornwall (Capel, Odgers, Dunstone, Waters & Jones), with a few from England (Philp & Dabb), a few Irish (Marrs & Talbot) and a few Scots (Boyd & Salmon) who arrived in Australia in the 1800s, some by choice & some not so, the odd convict or two seems an Aussie tradition. Many were miners & with links to many mining towns within Australia & the US.

Names that I'm researching:
Woods, Skelly, Jeffers, Mallon, Capel, Odgers, Clymo, Waters, Jones, Dunstone (Dunstan), Philp, Marrs, Talbot, Dabb, Young, Ross, Boyd, Dickson & McClure

I welcome any corrections & happy to transfer non-direct relatives to closer cousins etc..
