Bio

I have been into Genealogy for several years now, having been initiated by my Grandfather when I was young. It seems to run in the family, as my Great-great grandfather was James H. Lively. Through his initial research, documentation and manuscript he was responsible for providing John F. Vallentine the basis for his book, Livelys of America, 1690-1968.

Thankfully my husband indulges me in my hobby, and has now become interested somewhat himself.

It was through Ancestry.com that I managed to meet FAG member, Debbie Truitt of Iowa, who was instrumental in helping me find the missing pieces to finish my DAR Application for my Lively family lineage. Her interest and dedication lead my husband and I to learn about and begin the cleaning process on headstones of members of his family in Rhode Island while there on vacation. Our newest project is to replace a headstone on a family member we just found. A child that would have been my husband's Aunt, by a step-grandmother.
Until now it seems, she has been somewhat forgotten and neglected.

UPDATE: The headstone for Kathleen Mary Brown has just been installed and we now have photos of it posted to her FAG Memorial.

12/14/14- While in Chester, NE for my father's funeral we noticed my Great Uncle Eldon Shinn was w/o a headstone, so my husband & I have now furnished his grave with a headstone in matching granite to my Great-Grandparents headstone.

We just can't stand to see forgotten family members…..

I can be contacted via my email address, just note that you got it from Find A Grave in the headline. I can not commit to taking photos locally, but if I have time I will certainly try. We are not retired as yet, so our businesses come first!
Thank you!
