I enjoy running around outside with my teenage boys playing basketball, baseball, soccer, football and hunting.
Ancestor searching started with my Uncle Mike about 10 years ago then recently I went to Christiansburg, VA for my childs baseball tournament and my mom said that is where she grew up. Mom and Uncle Roger took me around the Mountain Lake, VA area their old stomping ground and I took pictures of grave sites of my relatives, Huffman, Meredith, Kirk, etc. I posted them and relatives, such as Donna Stoessner, I did not know existed emailed me wondering how I knew the person in the photos. She helped with my tree on the Meredith - Kirk side. That was exciting. On my fathers side, Griffin - Curlee - Helms - Plyler - Belk - etc, I went to Monroe, NC and visited relatives and received photos. I got hooked up with a relative, Billie Ranson, she led me to a DNA test tracking an ancestor to Richard Griffin 1752. She has also been a great help with my tree.
I have received much data through this site and enjoy giving back when someone needs a photo.
