Born 1953 in Osnabrück. Saw "Maigret" on German Television 1965 and 1967/68 (24 repetitions). Tried to make some drawings of Rupert Davies as Maigret and sent him one. In return I got an autograph from him! The postmark of the envelope says "Chesham & Amersham, Bucks., 6 oct 1967". I will never forget that surprise. Later on I have been trying not to miss any further performances of this great actor in cinema and on TV. In my opinion one of his most impressive roles was that of Cerdig, king of the saxons, in 3 episodes of "Arthur of the Britons".
