While I have been working on my own family orchard [fruit and nuts alike;)]for over 30 years, the advent of the Internet has added so many dimensions.

Families working on: Hergenroether-Harkenrider especially in Northeast Indiana, though a few have wandered into Northwest Indiana and Illinois. Holzingers radiating from Huntington, Indiana, Eddingfields all over the country, Byrds from Shenandoah, Virginia, Green (a daughter married into) Griffith (a daughter married into)and any other families that have married into the grove.


I would like to thank all who have posted and pass along to those who cannot make a trip. I live in the Fort Wayne area, and while I intend to put my own family on this site, I will be adding for others also.

If I have created a page for a person not in my family, I will be glad to pass it along for the asking. To me, in most instances, ownership is not the driving force, knowledge is.
