I have had a lifelong interest in genealogy, but have started digging into it more deeply in the last decade or so. Genealogy has opened to me a rich family history about which I never previously knew. My American roots go back in many places to the American colonies; my European roots are more diverse than I had imagined. I decided to join the FAG community because I have found this website to be a very useful tool in my search for my family history. I try to give back in kind, documenting and photographing graves locally and, sometimes, while traveling aroung the country.
