Bio

Current pet peeve - screenshots. Please do not add screenshots, they look tacky. Find A Grave photos in my opinion should either be of the grave or the person (when alive). The correct place for biographical information or obituaries is in the person's bio, and it does not take much to cut and paste the info into that field.

I do not understand people on this site who just want to play a numbers game by creating thousands of memorials or screenshotting thousands of photos and only adding the bare minimum, sometimes only the year of death (and nothing else). That is insane!

Please note that that unless the person has been deceased for approximately 80 + years, then I will not be adding or accepting obituaries to their profile. This is in consideration of living family members. However, if you are related, you are more than welcome to request your family members profile and to add your own obituary. I'm just not going to be responsible for adding details about living people.

You do not need to ask for permission to use my grave photos, so knock yourself out. Add them to your family tree, keep a copy of them, whatever floats your boat.

I also don't subscribe to the four generation rules of managing memorials, if you are a family member or friend then please request a transfer. I am related to roughly 500 memorials that I manage so the odds are in your favour if you don't belong to that group.

Any edits I send through to others have originated from Council Databases, BDM, Paperspast and sometimes an Individuals War Records.
