We have been researching our families for 30 years. We've walked many graveyards and "dug up" relatives near and far.|
Some of Pat's family lines: Jones, Watts, Hammond, Pickens, Wilson, Capron, Adams, Kates, Johnson
Ron's lines: Reece, Nixon, Hazelwood, Eaton, Cooper, Gregory, Briton, Upton/Uptain
It is so great to be able to contribute to the work that so many have done to catalog cemeteries and make this great research tool available to those who can't get to far places to see for themselves. It also feels very satisfying to be able to list family members who otherwise are unknown to others.
You are welcome to use for genealogy purposes any headstone or cemetery photos I take.

Hi, I am researching my Williams family and wondered if you know anything thing about James and Lydia Jones' daughter Sarah? I know this family was in Mississippi in the 1850's and my 2nd Great Grand Uncle, William B. Williams, married a Sarah Jones on 10 March 1859 in Lawrence County, Mississippi. William died during the Civil War and the last account I have of Sarah is when she went with her father-in-law, Robert Williams, to collect the back pay for William. Am trying to determine if this is the right Sarah and if they had a child. Any help you could give would be most appreciated.

Hey, Pat and Ron:
I was working on our Woodland Cemetery records in Rosebud and found a FamilySearch document stating that J.P. Britton was buried in Woodland. I spend a great deal of time on the records and in the cemetery itself and didn't recognize the name. We do, however, have our fair share of unmarked graves.
As I started digging around I found he was in the Walker's Creek Cemetery in Milam County, which makes sense as that is where they lived for decades.
In my poking around I found some additional children for this family in the 1880 Alabama census.
Thanks for all your hard work!

Sarah Jane Nash Capron was my great grandmother. According to my records, Sarah was born 4 April 1851. The findagrave shows her birth as 1853. What information do you have?
