Bio

I have been an avid amateur genealogist since I was a teenager. My father and I worked together on his Stancil line for many years; it was our special time together.

Family history is a fascinating hobby that takes me on many a tangent! It's my way of honoring and remembering my dear parents, both of whom died way too young. It's my legacy to my son.

Life has taken me on many twists and turns, and around a bend or two, but I always come back to my roots in central North Carolina.

Changes/Errors: if you discover errors in information on memorials I manage, please let me know. I'm also happy to add information and to link individuals to their parents or spouse.

Transfers: I'll never understand folks who refuse to transfer memorials to closer family members outside FAG's 4 generation policy. To me, it is far more important to have memorials in the hands of family - even if distantly related - than in the hands of a stranger. If you are a closer family member than me, I'm happy to transfer a memorial to your care.

Corrections: please use the edit button in the upper right hand corner of the memorial page to send corrections, additional information and link requests.

Photos: feel free to use and share my photos. While I would appreciate an acknowledgment, I know these pictures can mean a lot to living family members.

Lastly, my gratitude to Find-A-Grave for creating this wonderful way for us to honor our ancestors and loved ones.
