As a memorial manager it is my obligation to research the information you send in a "Suggested Edit", so please keep in mind the Genealogical Proof Standard when suggesting edits (see Find-a-Grave Help; Contribute; Sending Suggest Edits and Notes)

Some suggested information in Bios maybe edited. Only appropriate information regarding the individual will be accepted. Cause of death details and excess information regarding the lives or events of other family members are more suited to a genealogy site such as Ancestry.com and will not be accepted.

You now have the ability to add notes to suggested edits, so you can provide sources or citations. Please don't abuse this feature and use it to complain about declined edits. (See Find-a-Grave Community Safety)

Suggested edits of duplicate information. eg. grave location wording or alternate military rank abbreviations will not be accepted. Remember memorials are managed by volunteers. If you're not happy about the way information arranged and your suggested edit is declinded, please let it go and move on rather than harrassing the manager. (See Find-a-Grave Community Safety).

Memorials will only be linked to family members with unknown burial locations under certain circumstances. FAG policies state that memorials with unknown burial locations should not be created unless burial is 'lost to history', so burial documents and records within the last 200 years should be accessible. If not, the parents will be named in the bio.

Please be courteous and please don't re-send edits that have already been declined. Patronizing or impolite suggestions, harassment and/or demands are not tolerated, and I will not respond. This abuse will be reported to FAG Community Support. (See Find-a-Grave Community Safety)
