I was born and raised on the farms of Central Kansas and as an "adult," home has been in Colorado, Washington State and California. Our family was, and still is, simple. Love of God, Family, County and Service; respect for all, and quiet charity to those in need. |
Find a Grave has been a great way for me to honor my family. My Mother passed away in 2012 and this site has been a part of the healing process for me. Have always worked on the family tree, it seems. Using that as a tool has been helpful in the linking and obituary processes. My goal is to honor each member with the linking process, a note of recognition, a photo of their monument and, for some, a photo. Working together with other contributors has been a delight. Have reconnected with family members and met new, distant family with common goals. Has been great to compare memories with these folks.
With the "new edit" method, I don't always write a 'thank-you' nor do I expect one. We all have plenty to do to keep up. Be assured that I do APPRECIATE any addition/correction, or PHOTO REQUEST you fulfill for me. Please accept this as my thanks for your efforts.
To add an internal link in the biography, you would need to type
< a href="http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=XXXXXXX">Name< /a>
(I put this here because I use it frequently and am tired of digging for it in the FAQ.)

You are so very welcome. I am glad that I was there to do this for you. I wish I would have been able to photograph the entire cemetery. I do take great pride in doing this for others and I know how important it is to document our past to preserve it for our future too.
God Bless you and your family!
|C Roberts Thomas||Hugh Harris Cawley|
This is the only indication of Mr and Mrs Cawley's final resting place. Mr Hugh does not have a marker and I walked the entire cemetery. There is an indication of another gravesite as you can see in the picture I have added. It appears that someone may have filled in the area recently.
I wish I could have found a marker for him.
|Denise Pitka||RE: Ronald W. Schwindt|
I have photographed the entire cemetery and am posting them now, however I don't think there is a gravestone for Faye Schwindt (1950-2009) nor Albert Schwindt (1882-1943).
|Carol Leiker||Stacy Randall|
I have just recently joined this site. You have posted parents of Stacy Randall as Tim and Chris Randall and that is not correct. Her parents are Rodney (deceased)Randall and Carol Martin Randall Leiker. Tim and Chris her uncle and aunt. Thank you for lovely saying with your post. Carol Leiker

|Roger Guillemette||RE: Abigail Davis Richmond|
There is no surviving gravestone for that particular Edward Richmond anywhere in Rhode Island.
I would suspect that he is buried next to his wife in the Common Burying Ground in Newport but there is no stone to make that case.
|Roger Guillemette||RE: Mary Richmond - 25675213|
Hi, Connie. Sorry for the delay in responding.
I think it's a very high likelihood that Mary is the daughter of Judge Perez and that BW Wilbour transcribed/misread the b/d dates incorrectly (not unheard of).
The gravestone, though very worn, has markings that Mary was the daughter of Perez and Marcy (Mercy). Given that she died in childhood, it would make sense that she would be buried in the old family plot close to her home, whereas her parents were buried (much later) in the Old Commons cemetery.
Also, there is no other Mary Richmond from that era that fits the profile.
Good detective work on your part ...

Hello, The online website gives Addition 1, Block 117, Lot 2/Alleyway, Space 4. There are always factors a person might not know. The record does not give a burial date. Was he buried there and then moved? The office records do have a few issues, was he buried there and not recorded? Could this be a memorial, at the cemetery, because he is buried somewhere else? Or did someone not have enough coffee on the morning the records were transcribed. Further research should be done on this memorial. I am going to leave it listed for now. Thanks for the information.
