Bio

I was born and raised in California. I am now retired and living in Klamath Falls, Oregon. My mother married my "step-father" when I was four years old and he later adopted me. He is the only father I have ever known and out of respect for him I never tried to learn about my birth father. With Dad's dementia in its final stages and my adult children nudging me to find out about our "roots" I began looking into genealogy.

I found out that genealogy can become all consuming if allowed. I love puzzles and this is an extremely challenging one. My husband became interested in genealogy in the 1970's and we both spend a good part of our day at our computers tracking our individual histories. This has naturally led to and interest in Find A Grave. It is nice to have a partner with the same interests and to share your discoveries with or to ask help or advice from as needed. I have discovered numerous previously unknown family members through this experience.

Through Find A Grave we have encountered many wonderful volunteers with similar interests and we greatly appreciate their helpful efforts.
