Thank you for the additional information on the Gates family in Utley Cemetery. This helped me to find additional information and links for this family. I had communicated with you a couple of years ago and told you that Dr. Gates delivered my father in the 30s.

Thanks again for your help,
D. L.

RE: John Foreman's grave
You're welcome. I was hoping he'd have a stone since he was a fireman, but no such luck, am afraid. There are just so very many unmarked graves!

Hingham Cemetery
I have moved to Hingham and have Andrews family buried in Hingham Cemetery I was checking out the photo requests and see that you have five old ones.

The oldest stone in Hingham cemetery dates to 1732. You will not find anything older. Doesn't mean someone wasn't buried either around the original meeting house prior to 1681 or the Old Ship meeting house dating to 1681, but there are no records and any stones have been lost.

Hingham cemetery has their history on line and the list of known burials is here:

It is possible that your ancestors and mine are under Settlers' Monument. That's the image I hold!

Just thought you might want to remove the requests since they can't be fulfilled.
