I discovered Find A Grave some time ago while doing a Google search for my sister who passed away in 1987 and was pleasantly surprised to see her memorial page.
I then began doing genealogy several years ago and have found many of my relatives' graves here, many of which are in other states that I would not otherwise be able to visit. It has brought some comfort to leave my virtual flowers on my loved ones graves.
One of the first things people ask when they find out where we live is "How can you stand to live next to a graveyard?" To which my husband & I reply "We have VERY quiet neighbors!" The profile photo is what we see when we step out our back door.

Anyone can visit a cemetery and take a photo and therefore it is not important to me to claim a right to a CEMETERY/HEADSTONE photo we have taken, especially if it is your family member and not ours. Our HEADSTONE/CEMETERY photos are available for your personal use such as adding to your Ancestry tree. PLEASE ASK BEFORE USING ANY PERSONAL PHOTOS OF PERSONS ON MEMORIALS-THANK YOU
