Hello, What an interesting journey this has been tracking down my ancestors! My father's side of the family is primarily from Delaware and the Lancaster, Pennsylvania area. Aside from McMullin, I have found quite a few Boulden, Biddle, Boyer, Gable and McCoy family names.
I have managed to trace my McMullin's back to my GGGG grandfather who died in 1820 in Delaware.
My mother's side of the family is from St. Mary's County, Maryland. Her maiden name was Guy with lots of Mattingly's, Bailey's and Abell's in the line. Most of her family can be more easily traced back to the 1600's in St. Mary's County.
My wife's family consists of Murphy's from Boston and Lewter/Cockburn's who ended up in Texas after a multi-generational migration starting in Virginia to Tennessee, North and South Carolina, Georgia and Alabama.
My "McMullin-Murphy tree" is on Ancestry.com and have tried very hard to document what I have posted.
I am more than happy to assist anyone. The only memorials I am interested in maintaining are direct family relatives, including aunts and uncles.
As I get into this, it is my intent to add non-family memorials and will happily transfer these individuals to their descendants.
Let's all have fun!!!!!
