RE: John Lorenzo Hubbell #79351106
The manager of his memorial has accepted my edit and has put the info about his lack of grave marker in the inscription part of his memorial. I'm glad that this was done and thanks for the suggestion.

RE: John Lorenzo Hubbell #79351106
Since I don't manage John's memorial, I can't just put the quote on his memorial as I would wish to do. I have sent an edit under "Marker Transcription" that said:
There is no grave marker to transcribe. In the tradition of the Navajo people, with whom he was a friend and trader, he has no grave marker. This is according to the national park ranger at the national historic site's visitor's center.
I am hoping the manager will accept this edit.

RE: Belle Downie
Yes, Christine Rose and Belle Downie were sisters. Their father David Downie died in Buffalo, NY in 1922 and the death notice stated that he would be buried in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I am trying to find a record of his burial in Grand Rapids.

Yes, Christine Rose and Belle Downie were sisters. I would like to obtain the photo of Christine's marker. Thank you for your efforts.

Belle Downie

Thank you for the photo of Belle Downie's grave marker. There is some misinformation on her bio. One is that her father was David Downie, Sr.(my great grandfather) and her mother is not Fina H. Downie, but is Margaret McKinnon Downie, born in 1842 and died in 1892. Belle's brother (my GF) was David Downie, Jr. Tina R.(Christina) was Belle's sister. Is there any way to correct this information?

I also believe that Belle committed suicide but cannot find proof except for family lore.

Thanks again for your help.

re: Daniel, Amelia and John Dailey
Hi Sarah Jane, thanks for the grave pics for Daniel and Amelia Dailey and for checking on John Dailey and reporting that no gravestone was found. I have asked the owner to put a note in the bio to that effect. Thanks again, donna white
