I have developed a passion for knowing more about my ancestors. On my paternal side is a relatively recent immigrant network of South Italians, mostly from the city of Maschito, Potenza, Basilicata, Italy, who arrived in New York City in the late 1800s through the early 1900s. On my maternal side is a vast array of northern European descendents, some of whom apparently arrived at the time that New York was under the control of the Dutch.

The unexpected discovery of these, and even richer genealogical details, was not possible without the help of time/resource-generous online "friends", such as those found on Find A Grave. I hope that I can offer the same to others on this site as well.
