Bio

Served in the US Marine Corps and in Vietnam in 1967 & 1968 and started doing genealogy shortly thereafter.
I will probably never have huge numbers of Memorials contributed because I find myself wanting to do whatever research I can to find and input family links wherever I can. I read one person's bio that said "This is not a genealogy site." I disagree. If we are merely creating a list of names and dates, then what is the point. That being said, I have actually had two instances over the years where someone wanted me to transfer every memorial that was in their family tree, no matter how distant the relative. Can you imagine the Pandora's box that would open? We would all spend more time transferring memorials than searching for them. Besides, a great number of the memorials I have done are also distant relatives of mine or my wife's. This site should be used to help people do their genealogy, not to have others do their genealogy for them. And again with that being said, I love helping others and greatly appreciate the help given to me by others. Genealogy is all about sharing and the genealogists I have come in contact with over the years have taught me that this is a group of people who are the most caring, helpful, generous people anywhere.
