Col Richard Henderson who purchased 1/2 the state of Ky. from the indians
Daniel Boone
Col Samuel Henderson rescued three girls who had been captured by the Shawnee indians. These girls were: Elizabeth Calloway, whom he afterwards married, her sister, Fanny, daughters of Richard Callaway and Jemima Boone, daughter of Daniel. He was a colonel in the American Revolutionary War.

In the early days,and the chief means of making a living were farming,mining,and moonshining. WIlliam was known as "The King" of The Moonshiners Bell Co.," Lil South America"Bill Henderson was a Farmer and Black Smith and donated all 68 acres of his
land to Reverend Hiram Frakes for A church to be established along with a school.In the 1930s (when my part of the family moved out of Ky.)called the Henderson settlement they changed the towns name to Frakes in honor of the minister who established the Settlement.Five of Henderson's children graduated from the school bearing their father's name.WILLIAM BILL HENDERSON, b. December 24, 1865,d. April 16, 1932.
shot and killed by a derranged and schizophrenic stepson, over a piece of land the stepson was demanding.
