Hi Custis, thank you for letting me know about the page of my grandfather. Yes it is the same so I sent a message to the person that made it. Brenda Boone Mack

RE: John Dixon
The birth dates are pretty compelling evidence! Unfortunately I don't have the power to remove her family links from John's page. It looks like CinnamnGirl originally created her page but Findagrave has taken it over. I'll try to submit the request to remove her family links.

John Dixon
Feel free to add the Obituary for John Dixon yourself. I clicked on the link for his daughter Mary Elizabeth Dixon Sumblin Alexander and they included her death certificate which named John and Georgia Evans Dixon as her parents so I guess he did have more than one child. The church may not have known about her when they wrote up the obituary.

Thomas and Annie - Stella
You wrote me an email where you say that Stella is not a child of Thomas and Annie. I went to the memorial page and can safely say that there is not Stella mentioned in the children listed. So What are you trying to tell me? I don't understand.

Please email me directly at my home email instead of going back and forth on Find A Grave. my email address is listed on my member's page.

Teeny Minority "Minnie" Rakes/Hart Cemetery
I could not find her memorial at Hart Cemetery. Does she have a memorial marker there?
Thanks, Anita Mays

RE: Annie Doyle & children
Forgot to say that there are probably no less htan 10 Thomas Doyal/dial/dyal etc. in the immediate area of basically the same age. It seems that everyone named for their parents and grandparents. The problem was that they all inter-married and all the grandparents & greats were the same. It was explained to me that the Thomas who married the Martha was described like this:
From the census reports there is a Thomas Doyle (1851-1936)#24572386 called Jeff that married Martha Doyle (1859-1936)#24572387. This Thomas was the son of Thomas (1809) and Ellen Unknown doyle. Both of these people are buried at Willis Flats in Rapides Parish. Now this Thomas & Martha had a son named Thomas also (1898)

I had several "Thomas lessons" today.

RE: Annie Doyle & children
Most of the people that settled in that section of Louisiana were mixed races. If you get a chance read this article.
and then this one:
It might give you some insight to the people there. For the most part, they are Redbone. This term is described in the article which is to say they were some malattos, some indian, some French, some Spanish, etc.
