I am originally from Sacramento, California!
I have been interested in family history/Geneology since I was a child, my very first family tree (that I made)was done in 5th grade, my Grandma on my mom's side was still alive then and I was able to get useful information from her on somethings.
My mother's side of the family names are: Silva, Jacobson, DePorto, *Goncalves Doporto, Fontes, Soares and Avila (*from the Azores/Portugal).
My father's side of the family names are: Timmermeyer (been able to locate here in the USA, but difficult tracing them back to Germany), White (majority originally from the Weymouth, MA area-to Wis.),Hofman (or Hoffmann), Patterson (Oklahoma area).
My husband's side we've found were one of the original Families in Lexington County, SC. Our children are 10th generation Lexington County residents. Names on his tree are:
Miller, Taylor, Lybrand, Smith, Rauch, Riley, Elrath and Herron.

One project I am working on is finding descendants of Caleb White, Nina Hofman. Also looking into the family claim of having Native American Hertiage (really stuck on this one).
