John Lazarus Bryars
Thank you so much for posting the information on my 3x great grandfather John Lazarus Bryars. He was indeed at Fort Mims in Alabama on August 30, 1813, but he did not die that day. He was one of the survivors, and his son Green Berry Bryars was born in July of 1814. Green Berry Bryars is my great, great grandfather. Could you please change the death date? I am told he died in 1827, however I do not know the exact date.

The Mobile Press Register wrote an article on August 24, 1990 regarding the events that took place at Fort Mims on August 30, 1813, and tells of John Lazarus Bryars surviving. I will try to attach this article to his findagrave memorial.

Thank you so much for your assistance with this!

Thank you so much for Photos of Walker Graves
Hello Richard,

Thank you so much for going out to the Catholic Cemetery in Mobile and taking photos of my three relatives, Olis Walker, Francis Walker and Thomas Walker. I am sorry that I could not go with you to take the photos. My Mother has been ill and needed us to help her.

Also, thank you for taking the photo of our Trione Family Relative's grave site, Alexander Trione!

Richard, you just can't imagine how much my family and I appreciate you taking these photos for us!

We pray for God's Richest Blessings upon you, your wife and Family.

Hopefully, we will get to meet sometime soon in the future.

RE: Catholic Cemetery, Mobile, AL
Thank you so much, Richard! I really appreciate all of the great efforts you are making to help folks like me fill in the blanks for our families!

Also, thank you for offering to take me to the Catholic Cemetery to help me find my relatives grave sites. I would love to do that, Richard. I live in Fairhope and not sure if I could find a way to meet you in Mobile. I would really hate for you to drive all the way to Fairhope to pick me up and go to Mobile. Do you live in Mobile?

I have three relatives who are buried in the Catholic Cemetery. They are members of the Walker Family and are all three together in the very back part of the cemetery property. I remember going to the funeral of Thomas Matthew Walker on Oct. 27, 2010. My family and I drove a long ways back to the very back part of the Cemetery, which I understand is the oldest part of it. Buried next to Thomas is his Father, Olis Walker, who was buried there in 1968 and his Mother, Lillie Francis Golden Walker, who was buried there in 1999. I wish I had more information to help you with, Richard.

Thank you, again, so very much, Richard! You are truly a wonderful person!
