From the obituary that I wrote in honor of my grandma:
"Patricia was a proud Charlottean, where she spent many weekends teaching her grandchildren about the past of her beloved city through trolley rides, visits to Spirit Square, the Museum of the New South and the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library and self-guided tours of her childhood neighborhood - NoDa. She instilled a passion of history, but most importantly, the knowledge of the Lord in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren."

Thank you for visiting my profile. I may have not created thousands memorials or taken thousand of headstone photos, but I have submitted well over 2,000 edits in the last year. Having said that, I prefer to think of myself as an edit volunteer. :)

My strength is knocking down brick walls that others can't seem to overcome.

**Flowers that I have added to memorials are left when an edit has been made or an ancestor. :) (Only a few have been left on "Famous" memorials--no relation).

Like you, I absolutely love learning about MY genealogy and family's history. I always verify the information that I add to my relatives'/ancestors' memorials. If, after the the fact, I were to discover that the information I added is incorrect, I will submit revisions immediately.

If a memorial has not been created for the person, I will create one. If you happen to be related to someone that I am not related to, I will gladly transfer it to you. Again, this is only for my non-relative memorials.

Please do not use chalk or shaving cream on headstones. It is the worst thing you can do to our ancestors precious memorials, plus it's absolutely tacky. Remember when you are taking photos for the descendants to see. It irritates us to see such lack of respect for our ancestors. Many of us view it as vandalism, even if it is for the sake of a photo. It sickens me to see lime green or hot pink, any color for that matter used to highlight the inscription. Take a moment to clean the grave with a little water and soft bristle brush.
