Born in Reading, Berks County, PA. on 10/2/1944. Up through 1969, lived in Berks County and worked in either Berks or Lancaster Counties. In 1969 moved to Houston, Harris County, Texas to work in the space program. Did not like Texas's weather and in 1972 moved back to PA. and lived in Lancaster County. Up through 2005 I lived in either Lancaster or Berks county but I worked in either Berks County or Harrisburg in Dauphin County, PA. I retired in 1999.

My genealogical interests started in 2012. I have been interested in my family roots in Berks County. With the help of some other researchers I have traced the Steely family all the way back to Switzerland in 1527. My branch of the family traces from Switzerland to Germany to America in circa 1750. Most of the family stayed in Berks County, PA. The Stehli Silk family in Switzerland has been most helpful in determining my genealogy.

Over the last 5 years I have enjoyed helping others to try to determine their respective genealogies.
