I am a hobbyist genealogist who is keenly interested in the family of Richard Smith, a United Empire Loyalist, who came to Canada from the United States due to the American Revolution of 1776. He was probably married at the time and came with 1 or 2 children. First wife and possibly children died, and he was married to his 2nd wife Betsey Lake and many children were added to their family. As I know little of Richard, or who his parents are, I would appreciate any information that could be added.
I also enjoy adding photos to Find A Grave, and I work closely with a cousin who has researched many families in Clarke Township, Durham County, Ontario, Canada.
