I have a very interesting combination of ancestry on both sides of my family.

My Dad's family is a combination of Ashkenazi Jewish with deep roots in Poland, Russia, and Ukraine, going back to the 15th century, and Portuguese Sephardi Jews who were expelled from the Iberian Peninsula in the 15th/16th century.

My maternal side is a combination of British Isles and Swiss German immigrants who arrived in Colonial America in the 17th century, and Irish immigrants who made their way to Canada and the USA in the 19th and 20th centuries.
