James Houston Barr III was an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Louisville, Ky. He was an undergraduate at the University of Virginia and a graduate of the University of Louisville School of Law. He was a lt. colonel in the Army Reserve. He is author of the published book, Lt. Colonel Nathaniel Pope, c1610-1660, of Virginia, Ancestor of Washington, Governors and Legislators, History of His Descendants (Louisville, Ky. 2018). He is a member of the SAR (chancellor), National Society of Washington Family Descendants and of the Society of Colonial Wars.
