I was born in Baltimore, Maryland to Helen Mae (Schlosser) Beville and Leonard Scott Beville. I attended public schools in the area and graduated from the all girls Western High in 1968. I met my future husband Brian at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) where we both majored in American Studies. We were married in 1976 and still live in the suburbs of Baltimore. We have a wonderful daughter named Jess who is studying bees and loves the outdoors. We always had cats when I was growing up and have had many over the years. We now have a mother and son pair named Lila and Pookie.
