I've been researching my family heritage since 2010 and the birth of my first son. I am a descendent of the Schmeyer family that immigrated to the US in 1749 which was the 2nd major family member to immigrate.

The variations of our surname are Schmeyer, Schmoyer, Schmeir, Smoyer, Smyer, Smyer(s), etc. We are primarily located in the Lehigh County Pennsylvania area but there are some branches in other locations.

I've been research and writing a complete family history almost daily now for the last 2 years. I have over 6200 members in my family tree so far following the patriarchal lineage. My goal is to be ready for the release of the 1950 census in 2020.
