My sister & I grew up going to the cemeteries with our Grandmother, Great Aunt and our parents. Years ago there was a service called Annual Care and you could pay a monthly or yearly fee and the cemetery would be sure the graves were mowed, cleaned & watched for any failing headstones...BUT..those days have been long gone. As we grew into adult years my sister & I would take our mom to place flowers on the graves of two cemeteries with a lot of family. Now it is my Sister & I, trying to get our kids & grandkids to join in. Fortunately we live close enough to the cemeteries that we can go about 4-5 times a year. Spring-Birthdays-July 4-Thanksgiving & Christmas.
