The DNA testing in ancestry.com got me started on all this. I took the test on a quest to confirm an ancestry story in my family and instead it brought the unexpected results of a 3rd cousin match with which together we successfully traced our common ancestors and that got me started on all this. Nothing better than confirming a family line through DNA. You know you got it right then!
I enjoy working on my family's ancestry and sharing everything I find with others. Collaboration is the key to getting the ancestry correct and that is what this system is all about. It allows us to all trace our ancestry back farther and farther. A diamond "ancestry record" is worth nothing if you put it in a drawer and hide it. Share what you find just like you want others to do with you. That is what the "bio" is for - posting all those records and detailed information you found.
And after all, didn't our parents and grandparents teach us to share like their parents and grandparents taught them. So if you decide to hide the source of a record or not share it, do you really think the person who you are researching would be proud of you for doing that?
"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." "What goes around comes around." "What you put out there in life will come back to you." Whatever motto you live by, they all have similar results.

The stones are fading every day so the more copies of the picture out there helps ensure the memory of the person and the tombstone is preserved and not lost which was the point of someone having a tombstone.
