SAR/DAR Discovery
I discovered my roots to the revolution quite by accident. While doing genealogy research on my grand mothers side of the family (Ruhlman), I found a SAR applicant in 1915 by the name of John Hinkle Ruhlman, who was also listed as Vice President of the Nathan Hale Chapter, Youngstown, Ohio. His brother Eli H Ruhlman my second great grandfather. There father Lewis H Ruhlman, my third great grandfather who married Margaret Hinkle daughter of Anthony Hinkle, Ensign, 3rd Company, 7th Batt, York, Pa Militia, under Capt Conrad Shorets.
