Bio

On August 12, 2013, in order to bypass traffic backed up from a wreck, I drove down a road I had never been on before. (We had only lived in this area a short time.) I was surprised and excited when I rounded a curve in the road and came upon a cemetery with my husband's family name on it--the Pate-Sanders Cemetery. Although we have not yet been able to establish any connection between the Pates in that cemetery and my husband's family, the discovery did lead to a renewed interest in trying to fill in some blanks and make some corrections in our family trees and also led to the discovery of Find A Grave. I have already made contact, through Find A Grave, with several distant relatives on both my side and my husband's side of the family so this has been an exciting journey so far.

Going back a few generations, surname's on my side of the family include Clinton, Werhan, Cross, Deaver, Glenn, Murray, Johnston, Taylor, Bradshaw, Fosdick, Phillips, Cathey, Spane, Reiss, Wharton, Singleton, Eastridge, and Roark.

On my husband's side of the family, surname's include Pate, Judd, Trantham, Mosley, George, Lewis, Miller, Williams, Willard, Baty, Moore, Miller, Ford, Tillman, Gann, Gresham, Markham, Perkins, Wilson, Crooks, and Maulding.

Although I am new to genealogy research, and our trees are not as complete as many, I would be glad to share any information I might have.
