I am researching my family Blackwell/Staats of Calhoun and Greene Counties Illinois and the Matzen/Hargraves of South Carolina, Missouri and Illinois.
I have documented Staats, Hargraves and Matzen back to their immigration to US. Blackwell's I can find no documentation past Wm Henry Blackwell in Hardin, IL 1860. It is my belief that George Blackwell was not the biological son of Wm Henry Blackwell but I have no documentation. If there are any other Blackwell members that have any further info please contact me.
