Bio

I think of family history and genealogy as the greatest, largest group effort. I know that one must be weary of headstone information, but I think that FindAGrave is an excellent resource in that group effort.

I don't hunt for graves, but I like to link related people in FindAGrave. Thus, I speed up the work to link the grand pedigree of Mankind, and to help us truly honor those who built the pathways before us.

If I find a correction that can be made, based on documentary evidence,I will make the correction. It's my philosophy that we should correctly link as many people in Find-a-Grave as possible so as to help turn on people to family history and related things, like graveyard hunting.

I love cemeteries, and you could call me a taphophile. However, since I am physically disabled, I do the next best thing, I link people together as families, if possible. If that requires me doing a bit of their genealogy, I'll do it. I enjoy this that much. It's all a labor of love for me. I get great pleasure and joy seeing families come together.

Remember this: Everytime we link another child with his or her parent, or a husband with a wife. We are adding value to this great resource. Consequently, I believe it is imperative to make our information as accurate and precise as possible. As we do this, Find-A-Grave will gain a reputation as being a reliable, trustworthy genealogical and historical source, not only a wonderful place to remember those who paved the way and laid the foundations for who and what we are today.

It's great to see the outpouring of love one here that people express for all their beloved family members and friends--not just the human ones. Let's keep this a place that forebears and friends can be honored and have their memories kept alive.

My Father's memorial is 16220758. My maternal grandfather's memorial is 36935403, and my maternal grandmother's memorial is 36935352. Please be respectful to them as if they were your own family. Since we are all related, they, too, are YOUR family!

N.B. Since I am physically disabled, I am not available to do photo searches, as much as I would like. However, I DO thank all the kind, generous, and thoughtful people who have helped fulfill my photo requests. I wish there was a more systematic way to do provide this service for all the cemeteries, graveyards, and funerary urns around the world.

P.S. BillionGraves.com has a different strategy and philosophy from those of Find-a-Grave. Nonetheless, Billiongraves.com can be very, very helpful. Don't ever forget to search there too!
