American immigrant living in London.

To me, this site should not be about who can collect the most memorials, even though I think creating a memorial for every person is a very important objective. It should be about remembering those who've passed, and I think it's fitting that memorials stay with loved ones.

Transfers: I'm more than willing to transfer memorials, even outside of the 4-generation guideline! I am unrelated to most of the memorials I manage, and I'm always happy to transfer to loved ones-- please don't be afraid to ask. Please send the request through "Suggest edits" and then "Suggest other corrections"; otherwise it may be difficult for me to find the memorial. If I don't respond to your quest please send it again because I likely just missed it.

Edits: I almost always accept edits to memorials I manage unless there's an obvious error (ex. child added as parent) or there is other contradicting info I know to be more accurate. If I reject an edit, please reach out to me to discuss it!
Notice a mistake I've made? Please let me know! I'm only human, and I'm usually online until the wee hours of the morning, long past my coffee has run out. Either "Suggest other corrections" or message me directly on my profile.

Photos: I upload one of two ways: either I walk the cemetery and upload directly through the Find A Grave mobile app, or I take photos and upload later. Typically, the ones I upload later are those that I decide need to be edited for readability. If you would like me to retake a photo, let me know (London area only). Otherwise I won't be offended if you submit a photo request for someone else to retake it.
Please feel free to use any pictures of cemeteries or gravestones I take and upload, as long as it is for noncommercial personal purposes. Also, if I upload any family photos I have, you may use those too under the same policy!
If you would like a photo removed that I have uploaded from your loved one's memorial, I will happily do so. Note that I can only remove photos I have uploaded myself; I cannot remove photos on memorials I manage unless I was the one who added them. The name of the uploader is displayed directly below the photo, so please make sure that is who you contact. Please send the request through "Suggest edits" and then "Suggest other corrections". Please note that I cannot stop others from taking and uploading photos, even on memorials I manage, although if I manage the memorial I will add a note requesting none be taken.

I don't add obits or document images to memorials due to Find A Grave's Terms of Service and Community Rules (Rule C), due to copyright laws, unless they are my own immediate family, the copyright has expired, or you have received specific written permission from the newspaper. FG removes the obits when they see them. I am more than happy to add obit and bio information that is rewritten in your own words; and/or to mention in the bio that an obit exists and where to find it. Please exclude survivors' names from biographies (unless they are also now deceased). Please do not add obituaries or documents as photographs to memorials; these are also subject to copyright.

I hope that my contributions will be helpful to anyone and everyone using this site! Don't be afraid to leave me a message.
