Since I started digging into my family history I have had a fascination with cemeteries. These are more than just stones with a name and date, this is history...they have loved, lost, endured, overcome. They have left and been left, mourned and been mourned. Some lived long lives while others never had the chance to live at all. Some followed their dreams and others were buried with theirs. They walked the same streets I walk, touched the same grass that I touch. And each and every one of them deserves to be remembered.

I don't just absent mindedly walk through a cemetery snapping pictures in order to collect as many as I can. Before I hit the shutter, I contemplate each person, the life they lived, who they were as well as those they left behind.
