I have been doing genealogical research since my retirement in 1997. I was raised in what was called "Germantown", Dallas Township, Marion County, Iowa. I have done a lot of research on the first families that started the St. Paul Lutheran Church. I was confirmed in that church and my ancestors Henry Horstmann and Annie (Bote) Horstmann are my g-g-g uncle and aunt. Henry and Caroline (Schroeder) Bote are my g-g-g-grandparents.
Anything in Dallas and Franklin Townships in Marion County are of interest to me.
