Bio

After being laid off from the Insurance industry back in 2013, I decided that, since I found myself with quite a lot of time on my hands, to start to trace my family tree. To say that I quickly became obsessed is an understatement. Over the last 10 years, I have consistently worked on my family history and family tree researching at a minimum of 20 hours per week (but, more often than not, up to 8-10 hours a day several times a week). I have also taken on research for friends and their family histories (sometimes without them even asking me to..haha) which I enjoy researching as much as I do my own. My discoveries have fascinated my friends and have gotten them quite interested in learning more about their family histories because it is interesting and fascinating to know who and where you come from. Recovery of lost history is important. I'm also very interested in the connections that I find (which happens more often than not) between my ancestors and the ancestors of friends , and even familial connections between friends of mine that don't even know each other and what does that mean? A theory is that of Soul Connections…meaning we are drawn to people and proximities that we have had connections with in prior lifetimes. When I initially started finding these connections while doing family history research, I brushed it off as mere coincidence. However, the more research that I do, these connections are found so frequently that I no longer pass it off as just coincidence. It's quite powerful and intriguing!

Now that I've found my "passion" (albeit in mid life..LOL), I am working towards becoming a real grown up and becoming a Certified Geneaologist.
