Bio and Links
Bio Photo My name is Bonnie Bridger Mittelmaier and I live in Williamsburg, Virginia. My family has deep roots in Virginia, North and South Carolina, and New England stretching back centuries to England and Europe. History and genealogy are an abiding passion for me. I have traveled many places to research family, have had graves moved, and have discovered many ancestors through the assistance of Find A Grave and Ancestry, along with other Internet and bricks and mortar locations. Therefore, if anyone receives a request, from me, to have a Memorial transferred, please know that I have such respect and gratitude for the efforts made to establish the Memorial and that I only wish to honor and cherish through maintenance of the Memorial, my beloved and revered family member. I am a member in good standing of the Jamestowne Society, the DAR, as well as the Bridger Family Association where I serve on the Board. Proving ancestors is challenging but something I very much enjoy. I am honored to be a part of this important organization. Please note that in the background of my recent profile picture, is the shoreline of historic Jamestowne where many of my ancestors began their "New World" lives!

RE: Ed M. Nance
I think this "might" be (Find A Grave Memorial# 67517395) the Ed you are looking for.. info. (I think) is incorrect on his memorial see 1880 census... 1880 Williston, SC Roll: T9_1220; Page: 417D; Enumeration District: 40;
42 429 461 Ed NANCE, Head W, M, 41, Marr., Working On Turpentin, NC, NC, NC

44 429 461 (Charlie?) Daniel NANCE, Son, W, M, 9/12, SC, NC, NC

Here's 1900 Militia District 1209 Statesboro town, Bulloch, Georgia, 16b

RE: Ed M. Nance
I removed Richard as spouse of Rhoda, your Edward is probably Richard's brother that was the Nance family in the area about that time.

I was trying to locate this "On the county records reflecting the marriage of Penelope Jane Nance, their daughter, Rhoda and Ed are listed as her parents." today but had no luck. I'll dig a little further with "Eds" who were in Robeson County, then left for Georgia.

RE: Nance Family
I research all Nance lines. I also admin a Nance group on Facebook see link under my F.A.G. page. There have been quite a few Nance men who have done yDNA and quite a few other Nance cousins who have DNA tested including myself and some others in my Nance lines.

RE: Ed M. Nance
1st) I don't believe the Ed Nance who you have as husband of Rhoda and father of Penelope
(I think that Ed is the one listed as Edward in 1850, E.W. Nance in 1860, Edward in 1870 and Edward in 1880 census)
is the same Ed M. Nance in GA

The one in Bonaventure Cemetery is probably Edward M. Nance b 1873 SC marr. Mary Smith they are living with her parents in 1910 Chatham, Georgia, he is 37 years old, He is wrong age to be Penelope's father

2nd) You sure it's Ed Nance and not Richard? (Ed is Richard's brother)
I have Rhoda Shepherd married (no source still digging) to a Richard James "Jim" NANCE (Find A Grave Memorial# 131491394, & Ed's brother)
Richard left Rhoda prior to the 1870 census, is living with parents, 3 doors down. On 25 Feb 1875 Richard James "Jim" NANCE marr. Irene Williamson (Find A Grave Memorial# 118465643)

RE: Mattie Mae Mittelmaier
Problem is, I am no longer the manager of Mrs. Mittelmaier's memorial. I created but then transferred her to Find A Grave. If you requested a transfer and gave your relationship, in time I'm sure the memorial will be in your hands eventually.

RE: Albert George Mittelmaier
Use the Edit tab then the Suggest... tab, give your relationship and request a transfer. There should be no problem with your being manager of wife's memorial too. Have a blessed day!
