Bio and Links
Bio Photo ~ Welcome to my 'home base' -- just a longterm beginner on F.A.G. Hope to pay my respects at many of your memorials and expand, as time allows -- Please know it is always with much reverence and a great honor for me to leave my small tokens for your loved ones. Started here to find genealogical records--lots of surprises! Below is 'me,' in a nutshell ... Thanks for visiting.

~ Native Californian. Raised and educated up & down U.S. west coast and England. Work in Africa, Latin America, parts S. Asia; now Middle East.
. Professional career: 20+ years M.D. (& M.P.H.) at U.S. university med schools & ctrs, private clinics. Specialties: Tropical Medicine & Global Public Health research ‘anywhere,' but mostly in developing countries. Past work: refugee & disaster response; occas. consult for military. Based in U.S. but travel often.
. Large extended family. Industrious relatives continue documenting huge amt of genealogical info up to present day. I have minor duties -- to investigate significant family illness when found and verify if heritable. For those proven relatives who may be at risk (living in 2014+), I make info available and offer help if they wish to have it. Also DNA analysis when acceptable -- a great assist in resolving several challenging links to relatives (d.t. adoptions, divorces, surname changes, even correcting "typos" on documents from typewriters back-in-the-day).
. Many family members (known & unknown) throughout Calif & up U.S. west coast to Canada; also from Michigan, Nebraska, Tenn, Missouri, Mississippi, etc., etc., with some Native American ancestry (Cherokee). My most recent origins are in U.K. and Asia-Pacific Islands. Many blood relatives found on this site with links to wide range of traceable family all over the world. Surprised, humbled and honored by these discoveries.
. This (wonderful) ‘Find-a-Grave' site was recommended to me ~ 2 mos ago. Very grateful to those who started it, and to all the folks who voluntarily contribute their time & immeasurable efforts. Has given us new opportunities to reflect on our beginnings & start to pay our respects to many; helping us pass on the inner light of all our past generations to family members who follow so that theirs' may shine more brightly ...... My most SINCERE, HEARTFELT THANKS to EVERYONE!

Hi, Thank You so very much for visiting my father for his Angel Day - I loved your words and thoughts! =) And he would, too - you're right in that the world was something to behold while growing up with Dad - and my mom, as well: they were definitely comrades with one mind, heart and soul -, and I feel that the world is a little less interesting now that they've both moved on. My brother Ron's page carries a quote that I love, and it basically states that I find myself longing for ... the disorder of an earlier day. That pretty much sums life with my parents up; nothing was ever normal or boring, and even though they're gone now, there is no way to adapt to normal at this late stage in my own life. And thank the good Lord for that; I am so, so grateful for my childhood. Anyhow, I have added you as a friend and I hope that we talk again; if you would like a page highlighted or if I can help you in any way on here, be sure to let me know. Have a good holiday evening - Hugs, Rhonda and Gannon Blue

Thanks for your tributes
Thanks for your tributes

Hello 'SqueekyWheel,'

Just wanted to thank you very much for leaving your nice notes and tributes on our memorials (most all are memorials for friends & relatives added by my family). Your kind efforts are much appreciated by us - more than you know - especially since it seems you don't have lots of 'free time' (your BIO). I've added you to my Friends List -- hope you don't mind. Thanks again, Will

Re: Website for Relatives & Friends
Hello Doctore',
Got UR message and appreciate it. Heard some of the other ‘genealogy-team' also received notice and have set-up accounts (we're together to watch World Cup). This is a very nice, respectful site. We might be able to provide some missing pieces to puzzles for other folks' memorials, as well. We may even find many pages already present for our big family. Wanted to thank you, too, for remembering some important dates and representing us with your tributes. Wishing you well on your upcoming travels – be careful in your work abroad, i.e., don't get sick & if necessary, wear a helmet! Know we will be thinking and praying for success in your work and a safe return. Lots o' Love from everyone up here! 'The Fam'

RE: WRT: Relatives & Close Friends
Hey Doc, Yes! Thanks for letting us know about this site. Might be very useful for filling-in some unknown ancestors on our 'Family Tree' branches. Keep safe on your journey, and we'll hope to see you when you get back. Take care, TTW
