Bio

I use IARoots for my public name because I am of the 5th generation in my family to be born in Iowa (my brother's grandchildren are the 7th)-- my father's ancestors having arrived in Iowa in 1847. I have over 30 years experience as the family genealogist, but am relatively new to the FAG community having thus far spent my time proving relationships, collecting photos, documentation, etc. for my friends and extended family. I want to express my gratitude to the wonderful community of folks who have had the time to photograph and create memorials. I am spending my FAG time linking children to parents and spouses to spouses. One of the saddest sights in a cemetery is a lone stone marking a pioneer woman or child whose entire family moved on west. I want to see them linked. A note: all of the stones I manage are related to me or my husband. Those McLerans are very, very distantly related -- so if a McCleran descendant would like a transfer, just ask. You may have them. In the meantime, I will try to find the obits to add to their memorials.
