Bio

I live in the Annapolis County of Nova Scotia. My current interest is to record and photograph the headstones in small local cemeteries, hoping to be of assistance to researchers who cannot visit these memorials.
If I have posted a photograph that you would like a copy of, I will gladly send it to you.
I return to these cemeteries many times to improve poor quality photos, if you see one you would like me to try again, please contact me. If you have a better photograph, please add it.

If I find incomplete or incorrect information on Findagrave records, I will contact the contributor with corrections. The sources for these edits will primarily come from Nova Scotia archives and the Township books.

And when I make an error, please contact me. Please give me the source for your information as I will not just add data sent to me without proof.
Sometimes gravestones are engraved with incorrect information. For example the date on the stone might be different than the information from Vital Statistics. I will copy this alternate, and more accurate information but I will also post exactly what is engraved on the stone. Confusing, but common.

If you make an edit suggestion, please provide me with an email contact for return communication. It can be through Findagrave.

If I am the Manager of a gravestone for a member of your family, I will be happy to turn it over to you.
I am presently working on the Stoney Beach Cemetery in Granville Beach, Annapolis County, Nova Scotia. With another researcher, we are finding markers that were not included in earlier records of the cemetery. We also have the benefit of a very old map that records burials of people long deceased in unmarked graves. Some of these are among the earliest settlers on this area. Gratifying work.
