I have been interested in genealogy since the late 1960's. My family is originally from RI and I have many family members scattered throughout New England. I have several cousins in RI & Conn that assist on keeping our extensive family tree up to date. Noteworthy family members include: the Brown Bros of Brown University, Roger Williams, Bowen, Thornton, Whipple, Sayles, Green, etc. We have several Mayflower passengers who are our direct ancestors as well. My wife who is a distant relative count more than 50 direct ancestors who have fought in the Revolution. My mom and my sisters are DAR members and are really "stoked" about being members!
