I have been researching "The Cole's of Broadalbin" for 8 years. My focus has been documenting the family connections that I have found in the Union Mills Cemetery inBroadalbin, Fulton County, New York. There are three families that are buried in Union Mills that are all connected. They are Cole, Chase, and Stoddard. I was not sure if I had the right family here, until I found these connections. There is at least 4 generations of this Cole family in Union Mills Cemetery. Samuel is the oldest family member. He served in the War of 1812. His "possible" parents might have been Fones Daniel Cole 1762-1839 & Mary Kingsley Cole 1763-1839. Fones served in the Revolutionary War as a Private in Rhode Island. Fones & Mary's children were:1.Benjamin Cole 1788-1851 his wife was Abigail Fanning Cole 1786-1874. Buried in Leona Cemetery in Springfield, PA.2.Samuel Daniel Cole 1790-1868 his wife was Maria Booth Cole.3.Daniel Cole 1800-1874 his wife was Mary Talmadge Cole 1799-1872 buried in Mayfield Rural Cemetery, and youngest son4.Ishmael Cole Sr. 1803-1848 his was wife was Elizabeth Ann Chase Cole 1806-1867. Elizabeth's Chase family is also buried in Union Mills. I have documented that almost every "Chase" in Union Mills is connected to Elizabeth family.
