I am related to the Stanford, Westerfield, Lewis, Shaw and Coyle families. Special note to the Westerfield's - My genealogy line goes back to Drenth, Holland in 1550. In the 1950's and 1960's (years before computers), my Uncle (Robert E. Westerfield) began researching his family. He was obsessed with making sure that all of his loved ones in southern Indiana would not be forgotten. In the late 1980's, he made three genealogy packages (three inches thick). He gave one to me, one to his oldest son Robert in Colorado and kept the third. He informed us that he was getting older now and he wanted us to finish the mission which he had started. My research package has now grown to contain almost 70 years of research information pertaining to the Westerfield family in Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana and Illinois. I promised Robert Edward Westerfield that I would attempt to complete his work. I have now been able to find and connect many Westerfield's throughout the entire United States. Finding the Westerfield's has been a mission for over two generations now and I am proud to help our family and fulfill a promise made long ago to my Uncle Bob. I will continue to do my best to accurately update as many memorials as possible. It is very important that we find all of their final resting places.
