Bio

The Wilbur family has cared for the Deadwood cemetery (and lots of the community) for generations. Wilma (Wilbur) Wilcut passed the baton to Sally Owens around 2005, and Sally completed the official designation as Deadwood Pioneer Cemetery in about 2006. After Sally's death in 2012, the family has hired me to try to fill her position, so I am currently (2013-2014) acting as Secretary for the Board of Trustees. Our Board is working hard to resolve issues, improve the grounds, identify unmarked graves, indicate veteran and pioneer graves, and show the respect due to them. Contact me for more information!
