Bio

My mother, Loulie Jo, and I share a passion for history and genealogy. While my mother has been transferring records to Ancestry.com, I continue to search backwards for additional clues to fill in the blanks. I am also interested in oral histories, letters and diaries/journals that provide a social perspective on the lives and times. My current focus is on 18th century Georgia and from c.1620-1780 Virginia and the surrounding areas.

Maternal family surnames include: Crowder - Clements - Burns - McIntosh - Kimbrough - McGlasson - McGehee - Burnley - Watkins - Haden - Bell - Barlow - Grannies/Grannis - Chipman - Howland

Other names to connect: The 19th century Browns of Rhode Island with Annie Duffus connection, The Schlomm/Schlomkowitz family who changed name to Stevens, and Tanchefsky(spelling?)w/Rickman connection from NY area.
