Fallen Graver

Sadly, Joan Bartz has passed away. Please consider visiting their Find a Grave memorial page and leaving some virtual flowers. Their enthusiasm for cemeteries and willingness to help future generations lives on through their contributions to Find a Grave.

Bio

I am especially interested in relatives in Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky. Some family names are Adams, Thompson, Brenneman, Bowersock, Cox, Edwards, Gillespie, and Pease. Also Bartz, Curtis, Jones, and House.

In contributing to this site, my intent is to honor those who have passed on. If I have entered your relative, it was done as a remembrance.

I so appreciate all the photo volunteers! I am physically unable to get out and cannot pay the favor forward. But please know that the wonderful pictures make me feel as if I have visited in person.

A note about copyright:

According to Wikipedia - "In the United States, the term for most existing works is a fixed number of years after the date of creation or publication...

"In the United States, all books and other works published before 1923 have expired copyrights and are in the public domain. In addition, works published before 1964 that did not have their copyrights renewed 28 years after first publication year also are in the public domain."

Note that not all funeral homes consider obituaries to be copy-righted.

AND you can always rewrite or revise a published obituary that is under copyright.

Edits

I appreciate receiving edits submitted by other FAG contributors. Please do not be offended if I ask you for specific information regarding your edit. If you cannot supply the information, I may decline your suggested edit. A response might be to copy and paste your source material. I do not subscribe to any fee-based source, so I rely on the contributor to provide a copy of requested information. Thanks!

Also, many of the memorials I create are for folks who were born or died in Delphos, Ohio. Since Delphos is in both Van Wert and Allen Counties, a street address may be necessary.
